Doing Your Part

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.- Matthew 7:7 NIV

Have you ever found yourself in a place where you desired or stood in need of something but didn’t know exactly how to obtain what was needed? Needing help, needing a resource, needing the income, needing the support, etc. Fighting the internal battle of knowing what you need but not sure where to direct the need. I’ve been there, especially when you have been disappointed by individuals and institutions who you expected to help but denied your request. The buildup that it takes when trying to attempt to get help once you have been let down in the past can be a difficult journey. Ultimately some of us have missed out on possibility, dreams, and manifesting because we can’t push past what didn’t work or what let us down. I am convinced that if we just learn how to redirect our seeking then we can properly do our part.

The verse for today provides us with instructions on that part we serve in getting what we need. Listen to these words again, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”. Each of these highlighted verbs (which express action, occurrence, or state of being) direct us to what is needed to get results. Are you asking, seeking, or knocking so that God can provide what is needed? When’s the last time you intentionally pursued God until you got the answer, until you found it, or until the door was opened? It’s time to give it another try and move past what didn’t happen or did happen. You will only find yourself living in regrets of possibility if you don’t do your part.

This really spoke to me today. I have been feeling like I don't what else to do about a situation that I have been turned down numerous times. As of today I will go back and continue to seek God for more answers. This was right on time.
