The Voice

He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord,” ’as the prophet Isaiah said.”

John 1:23 NKJV

The Voice is an American singing reality competition television series that premiered on NBC on April 26, 2011. The series employs a panel of four coaches who critique the artists' performances and guide their teams of selected artists through the remainder of the season. They also compete to ensure that their act wins the competition, thus making them the winning coach. The winner is determined by television viewers voting by telephone, internet, SMS text, and iTunes Store purchases of the audio-recorded artists' vocal performances. They receive $100,000 and a record deal with Universal Music Group for winning the competition. Ultimately the winner becomes “the Voice” until another competition take place.

The gospel of John aims that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. The Jews sent priests and officials to ask who John is, he declares I am not Elijah, and I am not the Messiah. Then who are you? I am a voice, one who is crying out in the wilderness making way for the Lord. We too are like participants in the voice, attempting to share our voice with whosoever will that they may hear what we have to say about Christ. Though our prize is eternal we are attempting to achieve a goal for the kingdom. Question that must be raised, are you willing to use your voice to direct people to Christ? In a world where people want to go viral or have moments, can you humble yourself to just be the voice and not the main attraction? I am not the Messiah, but I want to be a voice that points people to the one.

I agree with Tamara...I was so surprised when my staff shared they were not raised to know God. Immediately, I began to share the Fruits of The Spirit with them to use daily and talk about Jesus.

People may not read the Bible at first, but they will read you. So you have to live your life as evidence of love grace and hope so that people can see Christ in you and want to become familiar with what it is that drives and carries you in this thing called life and spiritual walk. “ I want to be a voice “
